Apart from the many years we’ve been creating unique sites, designs in print and our many happy customers we’re very up-front about how we work so you don’t have any nasty surprises. We freely admit that we’re not the cheapest and that’s because we spend the time to get things right, while giving you the biggest bang for your buck. If it’s cheap, it’s most likely going to look cheap.

10 steps to a successful project

The way we work, our practices, tools and our creative approach have been fine tuned over the years to be marketing effective and cost efficient. To help your project planning, this is a typical route to a successful completion that most projects take;

You, a potential client approaches SiliconStudio with a project in mind either through our UK Studio or US office.

We take an extensive project briefing; Product discovery, competition, your targets, your marketing strategy etc. We’ll then go off and do our own research.

Yes, we discuss budgets early on because there’s no point in us proposing a $10k system/design when your budget is $5k and visa versa.

We produce a proposal quotation, detailing time scales, phasing of work, schedule of deliverable items, what we need from you and when, our and your responsibilities, outside costs, if any, and our terms.

When we receive the go-ahead we start with further research, sketches, coding and creative considerations, flow diagrams and finalize the project road-map to completion. Your SiliconStudio client studio is set-up and we provide you with access details.

Next we get seriously creative and by visiting your client studio area you’ll see your project develop until we’re both agreed on the designs we’ve created.

If it’s a web project we start with CSS/XTHML base design so there are real coded pages for you to see. Again, when we’re both agreed we move on to interactivity by designing in the chosen technologies with our creative output. This might be Flash, PHP, Java, Ajax, etc.

When you’re in agreement, we move ahead with standards compliance checking, check browser and platform variants (a site viewed on an Apple does look slightly different on a PC), general testing and in the case of ecommerce stores, populate it with product and images and test the site’s banking and marketing measurement systems (your stats).

Yeah! Almost done. We transfer your project to the host server, link databases, enable your domain and hand over your project.

And yes, we do guarantee our work with no additional cost corrections for up to 6 weeks from handover and error resolution for 6 months while you get to use your new site. If additions or add-ons are needed this will be billed at our standard daily rate.

We're a small team with large resources. Being based in the University city of Oxford UK we have at our disposal an additional pool of world-class talent, from illustration, coding and copywriting in most languages, whenever needed.
